TAKU TAGAMI
Born in Gifu, Japan. After working in architectural design, he is currently based in Tokyo as an artist. He explores to open up new spaces through various approaches such as drawing, sculpture, and photography.
Artist Statement
At times, I wish I could forget the culture and civilization we inhabit and see the world in its purest form. Our understanding is shaped by layers of language, history, customs, and science. While these layers have enriched us, I feel they may have also dulled our ability to imagine—much like how an ancient person might have found deep meaning in a simple, round stone by the sea. I believe that rediscovering this sense of freedom and playfulness could unlock new ways of living and reawaken the primal joy of creation.
